Lord, may thy name be hallowed today. Thank you for the opportunity, the possibility, of new beginnings dawning now. This new beginning is possible because you are working in my life. I pray that I would be an extension of you in this world today, an imitation of you.
That I would be just in my dealings, judge rightly when I must judge, and walk with you understanding in my heart that I am finite and you are infinite. That I would seek to bring your light to dark places, that in all my spheres of influence, I would work to lighten heavy burdens; end oppression, and ensure it cannot rebound.
When there are hungry, that I would feed them; when there are outcasts, that I would welcome them; and when there are destitute, that I would open my hands liberally. Lastly, that I would always show charity among my family, welcoming them into my life. Protect me from temptation and evil this day for yours is the rightful and ultimate kingdom. (cf.
