The LORD is good. He loveth righteousness and judgement: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD – Ps. 33:5
What has the LORD done for us?
He:
– Established and created the stars, showing his power and glory
– Created foods to supply the needs man and animals
– Created animals
– Created us with physical bodies, a home for the soul
– Gave those bodies breath and life
– Gave us sight, hearing, smell, taste to experience his goodness and glory
– Gave us emotions, a physical expression of the soul
– Gave us strength and beauty
– Gave us dominion over the earth
– Gave us marriage and family for our good
– Gave us friends to fellowship with, correct, and encourage us for our good
– Gave us churches and community for our good
– Gave us government and nations for our good
– Sent his only son to become our elder brother for our perfect good
– Redeemed fallen man for our perfect good
– Imparts his own nature to those who receive him – his children – for their perfect good
– Subjected creation to futility for our good (so we walk humbly with our God)
– Is building his righteous kingdom on earth that will never be destroyed or usurped
– Promised that one day, all things will be put under our feet, even angels
– Promised that one day, leading heavenly armies, He will come riding upon a white horse
– Promised that one day all tears will be wiped away in a new heaven and a new earth. This present world is not even a shadow compared to the glory that is coming.
– Promised that nothing that defiles or tainted with sin will enter the new world;
– Promised that all his children will dwell in that new world forever in perfect character
Amen!
Then was our mouth filled with laughter and our tongue with singing…the LORD has done great things for us; whereof we are glad!
